“TV Ape” is a light and media installation created for Fénydóm 2, a light art exhibition held at the Biodome in Budapest. Reimagining Nam June Paik’s iconic “TV Buddha” from a posthuman perspective, the installation replaces the meditating figure with a life-sized gorilla watching its own image through a live CCTV feed. Built for the atmospheric interior of the Biodome, the work reflects on technology, self-observation, control, evolution, and the strange loop between the observer and the observed.
